We recommend that you register with Cricket Leinster before you train with us (or any other club for that matter). Once you have registered with Cricket Leinster, paid the EUR 22.50 and sent all the documents to Cricket Leinster, you can start training with us.
Off season (October to March): we do not train regularly during the off season. We organize indoor nets in the months of December, January and February. But this is sporadic and subject to availability of the facilities and players. We announce the dates and times for indoor training on the club WhatsApp groups, social media channels and the club website.
During cricket season (April to September): we start training outdoors as soon as the weather permits in later March or early April. We train at our grounds in Marlay Park. Depending on the numbers, training is either on the main pitch or in the nets bays. Scheduled training is from 18:00 to 20:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Some captains call for additional team specific trainings on Wednesday depending on team situation.
Students: EUR 130.00 per year.
Everyone else: EUR 220.00 per year.
NOTE: There might be subsidized fees for [a] members joining after half the season is complete, and/or [b] members paying full amount before a specified date, usually before 30 April. Any such reduction will be determined by our treasurer, and sometimes on a case-by-case basis.
From the year 2021 onward, all T20 cup games are played in color clothing 2 and with pink balls. The color clothing costs EUR 25.00 – 35.00 for a jersey and a pair of trousers. The actual cost depends on the actual procurement and shipping costs. The club makes no money on the clothing. The clads for pads in club colors costs EUR 20.00. The captains at their sole discretion might decide to on sharing the clads. These are one-time expenses and will not repeat each year.
Every 4-5 years the club might revise colors based on a club vote in the AGM. Such a change will cause a one time cost to buy the new colors.
NOTE: Irrespective of what club one joins, the spend on purchasing club colors will be essential.
We recommend that all the players to have their own kits and accessories. Especially post COVID, we frown upon kit sharing.
Every year, at the annual general meeting (AGM), the club members elect a club administration committee. The committee runs the club in adherence with the club constitution and charter. We hold one AGM each year before the end of February. When required, we hold additional special general meetings (SGM). All the fee-paying members and honorary members have a vote.
Approximately 60 as of April 2022. We field 3 teams: D6, D12 and D19, aspiring to field 4 teams from 2023 onwards. Our first team finished top of the league in D6 and will likely be in D5 next season.
