Sandyford Cricket Club: Vision 2025 Consultative forum

We previously spoke about a Vision 2025. We have created this vision statement to ensure that

  • all decisions we have make have a long term goal, and
  • to ensure that the club ethos and culture are clear.

The idea is to hold ourselves to a certain standard irrespective of anything else.

The Sandyford Cricket Club committee endorsed the Vision statement on 2025. But, we will not formally adopt Vision 2025 unless the majority of the club votes for it. Remember what I said back in 2020: “We will not have centralized power in this club. Everyone is a stakeholder. The club shall progress with everyone participating the progress.

As the club president, on behalf of the club committee, I invite you all to please review the Vision 2025. Please send in your feedback to the committee. The plan is:

  • We will incorporate all comments and recommendations that align with the Vision 2025.
  • We will bring up for discussion in AGM 2022 any comments and recommendations that do not align to the current Vision 2025.
  • The club will vote to either adopt the Vision 2025 or reject it in the AGM 2025.

Since this Vision 2025 binds the current committee and every future committee [at least for the next 3 years], I ask that everyone please participates in this consultative forum.

  1. Our beloved club should incorporate a strategy to bring up more finances via attracting more sponsors. Economic stability will eventually bring and attract more players. What we are lacking at the club is attracting sponsors. We have done significantly well in recent years and if approached strategically sponsors would love to be onboard looking at progress our club have made.

Vision 2025 Sandyford CC should be producing an athlete playing national and our 1st plays Premiership or Div 1 in coming years..

Funding is really important and everyone of us should atleast attempt to bring a sponsor or a finance. I believe sandyford can bring revolution in terms of sponsorship campaigns for grassroots fellow cricket clubs in Dublin as well as in Ireland. What i have observed so far is other clubs apart from us are usinb names of the brands they are being sponsored but the funding is not consistent. Sandyford can adopt a whole new strategy of being on a sponsorship platform few which are very popular here in The UK where sponsors meets clubs and it works win win for stakeholders and rights holders (SCC).
